I had up flimsy, wooden baby gates before that I got so sick of moving every day. This looks great, is much taller than the average gate, and was very easy to install. I am likely going to order one more for another doorway. It IS a narrow walk through and I'm pretty skinny. And I'll need to get used to the bottom bar so I don't trip over it. I haven't yet but I bet it's coming. Overall though, it looks SO much nicer in the rooms it divides than it did before.OH, when you unpack it, the gate won't close and it looks like it's bent but it's so you can gauge how much to tighten it when ... Overall we have been very pleased with this purchase. We needed a safe containment area for our 1 y.o. since we recently started homeschooling an older child and have a baby on the way. This is a wonderful alternative to what we were using...the pack n' play! We did our research and felt this was a good price (MUCH cheaper than some other websites), and found this to be the most attractive play yard. To reiterate what everyone else says, if you only have one it is going to be very small! That's one of the only negatives, so we ordered two, since next year we'll probably have two kids in it.
