I tried Advantix (as opposed to Advantage) for the first time recently and immediately noticed that my dog was having a strong reaction to it. She stayed up all night panting heavily and periodically would run in circles. I checked the package insert and it said nothing about possible adverse reactions, and the product website also failed to warn of potential problems. However, I read on a vet's site that Advantix, unlike Advantage, is known to cause a variety of side effects, including hyper-activity, which was obviously what was going on with my dog.
