When I saw this new model with the removable rake I thought, "Genius! That will make cleaning so much easier." Unfortunately the rake tines were too short and barely touched the cat litter even when filled to the capacity line. That meant that I ended up manually scooping the kitty litter everyday. This model lasted for six months and the motor defaulted constantly. The one good thing was that the Littermaid Customer Service line people were nice and they told me how to reset the motor when the rake got stuck (both in front and in back).
