I bought this tree for two reasons. First, I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a hinky piece of cat furniture not knowing if my cat would show any interest in one and second the reviews were pretty good for the very low price of the product. After my experience I have no idea why others found this tree to be even close to acceptable quality. This item is only a relative approximation of the shape of a cat tree. The support tubes are, under layers of carpet and cardboard, plastic. If they were PVC that would be fine but this is a very soft plastic. The tree is assembled with threaded studs which fit ...
