Solvit 62293
We have 2 Aussie terrier pups that will ultimately grow to 18+ pounds. We tried the Kyjen Outward Hound but was disappointed in how the front of the seat collapses while installed. The Kyjen is rated to 20 pounds, but I wouldn't trust it. This product by Solvit is far more substantial and will hold the specified claimed weight, but I don't know why a 40# dog would even need a car seat to look out. If for a smaller dog, there is plenty of room for sleeping. The seat is easily installed/removed and collapses easily. The only negative point is the lack of color selection by the manufacturer.
