I purchased this item rather than Bear Treats Salmon Oil due to the lower price. The viscosity appears to be a little thicker (fifty-weight rather than forty-weight) but otherwise there isn't any difference I can tell. Even smells the same. I tried giving the recommended dosage but, just like commercial dog food companies, it was a 'way larger dose than my dog needed at 75 lbs. Backyard got kind of soupy, if you know what I mean. When I backed off the dosage to half that recommended everything was fine, however the fecal matter is still a bit too soft for my preference. (This was also true with Bear Treats.)
