I was a little unsure about whether or not this gate would be worth the slightly higher price, but I'm really glad that I got it. My daughter's bedroom door sticks in the summer and I have to slam my body against it to open it and when I'm laying her down for a nap, that's just not practical. I wanted to be able to leave her door open but I didn't want our cat to be able to get into her room so I needed a gate tall enough to keep her out.
