First, I bought the Petsmate vesion and it sucked. So, I bought the Drinkwell and loved it. When the moter burned out because I ran it without and water, I knew I had to buy a new one. I decided to buy the newer version, the Platinum and I am not dissapointed. My cat loves it as much as the original and I love it even more. It has improved features such as a decrease in noise while running and pet hair traps. If you've never owned one of these waterers you will find that your pet drinks more than ever before.
