I bought this for my 11 month old. It has lots of install options. Comes with hardware for two banisters, two walls, or banister-wall. The bansiter mount is great! You can get it very tight. Uses strong velcro straps with a locking buckle. There is even a hex screw to tighten the strap even more. The wall side has mounting options for with or without baseboard. I used the with baseboard option. That uses the three plastic mounts with three screws for the metal bar. The gate hinge side can be installed on banister or wall side.
